Frying pans are at the ready for the biggest race to come to SNO!zone Milton Keynes this half-term as part of a flurry of cool activities guaranteed to keep all the family entertained. The indoor real snow centre will marking Shrove Tuesday (16th February) with the UK’s first spectacular pancake race down a real snow slope! Spectators are invited to watch this special event which will start from 12.30 – 1.30pm where teams of Xscape employees will take to the slopes with their pancakes and go head to head with the chance to win the ‘Golden Frying Pan’. Featuring alongside this is a host of fun activities on and off the slope for children and adults of all ages to take part in, from Saturday to Sunday (13 – 21st February). Throughout the week, children will get the chance to show off their new snowman building skills in a specially constructed real snow play area open from 10am – 6pm each day. Priced at just £3 for half an hour this even includes the chance to ride on the mini sledge! Off the slopes kids can try their hands at getting creative with lots of arts and crafts activities in the SNO!lounge or watch some classic family favourite films in the Kids Corner available each day. SNO!zone are also showing their support for Milton Keynes’ local produce throughout the half-term as part of ‘Sausage Week’ and will be making many local butchers’ sausages available to purchase. Lisa Allan, SNO!zone brand and marketing manager, said: “It’s always difficult to think of enough fun activities to keep kids entertained throughout the school break. “We’ve come up with plenty of exciting things to do on and off the slope, including the UK’s first ever pancake race on a snow slope offering kids the chance to do something different this half-term.” Other activities during the week include: 14th February - Celebrating Chinese New Year with eastern delights available throughout the day or leave the kids at home and get romantic with the Open Mic ‘Valentines Love Shack Night’ in the SNO!bar from 8pm til late. 20th February – Jedi Knight and his arch enemies, Darth Vader and the evil Storm Trooper will be visiting SNO!zone Milton Keynes and will be available for pictures with proceeds going to the Christies Cancer Trust charity. As well as these fun activities, families can also get active on the slopes at SNO!zone by taking part in sledging or ice sliding or skiing and snowboarding on the 170m long slope.
